Sample Fund Agreement
Establishing a fund is simple, but important. Most donors like the fact that there is a formal agreement between the Community Foundation
and the Donor. The primary issues that need to be decided are:
- The NAME OF THE FUND: It can be after the individual client, the family, a deceased loved one or whatever your client chooses.
- PURPOSE: This is important and it spells out what the client intends to do with the fund. An attachment can be used to provide greater detail and specifics.
- AMOUNT to start their FUND: For endowed funds, the minimum is $5,000. For non-endowed funds, the minimum is $1,000.
The following are sample fund agreements for you to review with your clients. These are some of the more common type of agreements.
Please keep in mind that the Community Foundation is available to work with your client to fulfill their charitable wishes, so these
forms may be the first step in customizing a plan to meet their individual goals.
These sample agreements are formated as templates in MS Word. They may be downloaded and specific fields are available for completion.
