Conscious Stewardship, Strong Leadership
In 2009, everyone asked us to provide more leadership. But Community Leadership is a difficult concept to pin down. Civic leaders ask us to gather people together to address the most perplexing problems facing our communities. Nonprofits ask us to provide more support services. One thing that is clear is that people's expectations of us grew because we were so stable during the turmoil of the Great Recession.
Your Community Foundation is bouncing back as the national economy recovers. The financial reports in our 2009 Annual Report show that we achieved strong returns on investments as well as generous donations from donors who partner with us in their philanthropic plans.
