Supporting the ones who support the others
On any given week at the San Luis Obispo County Community Foundation offices, staff members run out the door to attend board meetings, to sit on task forces, to strategize at planning sessions, and to lead summit meetings. Much more than the administrative body for charitable giving, the collective expertise at SLOCCF has become the go-to place for guidance, participation, and collaborative help across the non-profit sector. The Leadership Fund supports this vitally important work.
Since its founding in 1998, SLOCCF has participated in such projects as The County’s 10-year Plan to End Homelessness; The SLO County Office of Education’s P-16 Council; and last fall’s Collaboration Summit with the United Way ― to name just a few. The Leadership Fund, an endowment held by the SLOCCF, ensures that this crucial guidance, sound direction, and expert assistance can be sustained.
