As Executive Director of the San Luis Obispo County Community Foundation, Barry VanderKelen is responsible for the overall leadership of the organization. Prior to joining the Foundation, Barry was consulting with nonprofit agencies, helping them become more effective organizations. Barry has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than 25 years. His experience encompasses everything from donor relations and capital campaign management to conducting feasibility studies and development of operational systems. He has also taught "Philanthropy" and "Management of Nonprofit Organizations" courses at Saint Mary's College and Loyola Marymount University. |

Janice Fong Wolf, Director of Grants & Programs, is responsible for developing and implementing the grantmaking program for the Foundation and its donor-advisors. Her duties include developing strategic grantmaking initiatives, reviewing all grant proposals, working with a team of community reviewers to determine grant distribution, monitoring and evaluating grantees, and implementing donor-driven programming. She also works with non-profit organizations to ascertain their needs for capacity building and training. Janice joined the Foundation in April 2000 after working in the non-profit health and human services arena for twenty years. She has lived, worked and volunteered in San Luis Obispo County since 1975. |

Kathy Evans, Finance Manager kathy@sloccf.org |
As Finance Manager, Kathy is responsible for all financial accounting, record keeping and reporting for the foundation. She uses an integrated fund management system designed specifically for community foundations. Kathy came to the foundation in March 2001 with 20 years of experience working for nonprofits, including eight years specializing in nonprofit accounting. Raised in San Francisco, she lived in southwestern Colorado with her husband and daughter for 15 years before her family relocated to San Luis Obispo more than ten years ago. |
| Margaret Nesby is the Foundation's office manager and finance assistant. She has over 15 years of experience in accounting and has spent several years in office administration. Margaret previously served as Field Auditor for the State of Missouri Department of Labor & Industrial Relations, Division of Employment Security, and Taney County Missouri Deputy Collector of Revenue before her move to the Central Coast. She currently resides in Avila Beach. |

Sandra Knapp is the Foundation’s program assistant. Originally from San Carlos, Sandra graduated from Colorado College in 2001 where she studied History and Political Science. Currently, she is a first year graduate student working toward a Masters degree in City and Regional Planning at Cal Poly. After many adventures and world travels she has set home roots in Los Osos with her husband, Zachary. |

Angela Hollander, Program and Donor Services Associate, is responsible for coordinating the Foundation’s scholarship programs, including community outreach, and assistance with donor services. She has lived in various states and brings diverse geographic and work-related experiences with her in the areas of healthcare, government, education, volunteerism and business. Angela joined the Foundation in January 2008 after working as a county-level First 5 School Readiness Coordinator. She has over twenty years of experience as a maternal-child Registered Nurse and holds a Master of Arts in Public and Private Management from Birmingham Southern College. She resides in Paso Robles with her husband, John and has two children, John and Danielle. |
