However, foundation funds are a finite resource. In an effort to assist local organizations, the Foundation has collaborated with a number of local funders to develop this directory. Click here to see list of articles Building for the Future As part of our overall effort to build philanthropy in the community, the SLO County Community Foundation has developed an agency endowment guide to help nonprofit organizations create permanent endowments and add to their current endowment fund. The guide may be downloaded (369K PDF) and shared with Board Members and Development Committees as a tool for stabilizing future operating revenues. Other Nonprofit Support The San Luis Obispo County Community Foundation also supports the work of local non-profit organizations through capacity building activities such as sponsorship of an FC Search Database, roundtable convenings, and provision of trainings and workshops.
